Remember in Alice in Wonderland when Alice comes upon a fork in the road and inquires of the Cheshire Cat "Which way?"  The cat asks Alice where she wants to go. But, since she is lost in a land strange to her, she is clueless. "Then it really doesn't matter," replies the cat as he disappears from sight, leaving behind only his smile.

Some craftspeople pursue business that way. They are very much committed to moving forward. But they are clueless as to where they want to go or how to get there.
