I hope you get many responses to your query, Scott. I, too, am looking for some "real" wholesalers.

General Bead has quantity pricing as does Caravan in Maine.

I like Gen Bead for Delicas especially. They are wonderful to work with and have a backorder policy that can't be beat.

Another source for Delicas is Hirsch, Phoenix. Across the board, Gen Bead is better, IMHO, but if you really want to comparison shop, look at each individual color to get the best pricing per each. To the best of my knowledge, each of these aforementioned companies is the importer of the beads.

J.F. Allen has some great pressed glass beads (novelty shapes) as well as gemstones. Haven't ordered from them yet but have many pages dog-eared. They are kind to answer questions for me thus far.

Look in Lapidary Journal's October Bead Annual for a whole passel of distributors/importers. Sometimes it's too many to assimilate!

Also, you might try the market in Dallas, I think it is. Haven't been myself yet but a friend who also owns a bead shop goes frequently and gets some pretty good prices there. Let me know if you want more info on this.

Obviously the Market of Markets is the Tucson Gem & Mineral show in early February. If you can't find it at Tucson it either doesn't exist or you really don't need it!

Hope this helps. BTW, where is your shop?

Wherever you go take joy!
Blessings, Sherrill
