Does anyone have any "secret" marketing tips that have worked for them and their art or craft. I am always interested in seeing how various artists market and expand their business. Napoleon Hill in his book "Think and Grow Rich" talks about the "Mastermind" concept where the power of multiple ideas in a forum, such as John Iversons, is much greater than the individual by themselves. I love the arts and the artist, but get disheartened when I see people give up their art when attempts to market or sell it do not work. Truly, if people could market their art/craft in a successful manner, it would be self-reinforcing. There is nothing like getting back into the studio after you just had a great selling spree or weekend at the show, convention, indoor market, or gallery opening. The questions I would ask the message board fans are this...1.) What is the ONE thing you've done that lead to your most success selling experience? 2.) What scenario has been the most profitable for you? 3.) Have you used the internet for sales and what results did you get? 4.) What have you done in "the down seasons"? 5.) Have you used publicity and press releases and what was the result?
