Take it from a rep who has been in multiple markets, hired sales staff and had a rep group... it is equally frustrating dealing with manufacturers and artists who require the rep to front the expense of travel, running an office and marketing unbranded merchandise as well as do the shows. It is often a challenge to get paid regardless of how many dollars are written by rep. The world of artists & manufacturers vs reps has to be a partnership for both to survive. The easiest way to find good reps is call accounts that have your product or similar product and ask for a recomendation.
