Read the FAQ on Working Capital and the one on Credit and Collections. Net 30 is really Net 45, give or take, and you ought to allow a grace period for it. Many retailers don't start counting down until they receive the goods (a week in shipping time?) and then they pay on the 30th day, maybe (another week of mail time?). I personally would not get too excited about this problem, yet I hear about it all the time. Overall the crafts community is very, very honest about money. Put in a fudge factor, and don't freak out or get p***ed off until you hit that wall, say 45 days. Then call them. Of course, if you are in the enviable position of not being able to make enough work to go around, then you can dictate whatever terms you wish. Most folks are looking for sales, though, and would rather have their money two weeks or so late, rather than not at all.
