: No noseyness taken, I am happy to talk about my detours in the craft business, as perhaps I will learn something helpful.

: I always made everything myself, and was encouraged by the galleries to always do something new. Custom work was also a big part of my local business with the galleries. Since they had so much work all on consignment, I really never got much inventory ahead to be available for other accounts. I wasn't doing any retail shows, so I had little contact with other artists and thier business models.

: When the galleries were selling really well, this worked fine, and when sales got slower, I was at a loss as to what I could do to change things.

: I needed a guru, and got one. annie

I am glad you were able to find a mentor to help, when I needed to find one I did not know where to look, so I stumbled along and did quanity of research into how the large industries did their growth and development, tried to scale down there approach in terms of dollars spent but kept the philosophy of what they were trying to accomplish, sometime effectively doing so and sometimes not. I am currently looking at several areas of new direction not only for my craft product but also for ways to market it, so I am looking for assistance in that are. I hope all things go well for you in the New Year.
