Are we having a mid-life crisis here? The short answer is that it's never too late. Regardless of your medium, the collectors -- all 50 million of them here in the USA -- are always looking for fresh work. You don't say what kind of an artist you are, and there are different venues for exposure for different media, so I can't really dial-in an answer here, other than to say that you probably know from experience how to address your particular market already. What you need to do is motivate yourself and assemble the tools to put your best foot forward in your market.

What do you mean by *too old?* Age has nothing to do with creativity and art. If you act old, then you come across as being old. If you bubble over with excitement about your work, and there's a spring in your step, well ... just maybe that enthusiasm will transfer itself to your prospective buyer or gallery owner. I see a lot of grey hair at the wholesale arts & crafts shows I attend, but there is a huge amount of energy in the hall, too!
