: MicroVision's Web Express for $70 is the best overall web authoring software for do-it-yourselfers. It's easy to learn and use, and comes with some nice templates. You can download it from their site, but I'd recommend paying the few $$$ extra for the CD and a manual, too. Also, once you have it installed, go back to the website and download the latest update/patch just to make certain you have the most current version.
: Their support techs are cheerful and helpful, too!

Thanks John, it looks like an excellent product, but I'd have to join "the evil empire". I'm a Mac user. I do a lot of image work and design on my computer and I find the Mac superior. Of course, it makes it more difficult to find the right programs? I'm going to check out a demo of Dreamweaver and I'm trying to learn a little about HTML code.
