Hi, and thanks for your thoughtful comments. I see there is no edit feature here, or I would have changed the subject line of my post, it was a gloomy day, probably not just for me when I wrote it. I just didn't know if I knew enough about business to manage.
My situation is a bit unusual, 10 years ago I made a pin that everyone loved, it wasn't too long before I was in 40 galleries, I couldn't keep up. I didn't have to know much about business, all I had to do was answer the phone and put orders in the mail.
When my top galleries changed thier focus from art to wear to higher end production jewelry my sales dropped, and I added in new collections more in line with the focus of the gallery. It wasn't the right way to go..
These days I am learning everything I can about business, and going back to my old pins..and I am using the design of the pins to create an art lamp that might give me something new and interesting to work on.
I have an opportunity to show each weekend at an upscale outdoor market, and yesterday I got a new wholesale account there..my "old" pins were fresh and interesting..
Like you, I seem to have plenty to do..and when my digital camera arrives, I can really get going on marketing my lamps.
kindest regards, annie
